6 Days Budget Uganda Primates Trekking Safari
This 6 Days Budget Uganda primate safari, takes you to Kibale forest national park for chimpanzee trekking, Bwindi national park for gorilla trekking and Mgahinga national park for golden monkey trekking. Besides primate safari, there also other activities to do while in the national parks including; Batwa community walk, Bigodi nature walk, chimpanzee habituation in Kibale among others. Spend your six days in the pearl of Africa exploring the several primate species across the country’s national parks.
Arrival For This 6 Days Budget Uganda Primate Safari
You’ll be collected from the airport. Accommodation before the tour starts can be arranged for an extra cost.
Day 1: Transfer From Kampala To Kibale National Park
After breakfast, set off from Kampala and drive to Kibale forest national park, driving through Mubende, continue to Fort portal where You will have stop over for lunch, Embark on the journey to Kibale national park. On arrival, check in to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking And Bigodi Nature Walk
Morning breakfast will be served and driver will drive you to the park headquarters for briefing about chimpanzee trekking, thereafter, you will be led by the ranger in to the forest for the start of the trek. The activity usually takes about 6hours depending on the location of the chimpanzees, when you find them, one hour will be given to you to be with them, while in the forest, there also other primates spotted here including; phoestes, red Colobus, blues, and red tailed and grey cheeked mangabey and also the best spot for bird watching.
Return to the lodge for lunch and later afternoon, you will go for Bigodi nature walk, the Bigodi swamp sanctuary is rick in biodiversity and scenic beauty, the Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary the long walk will take you through this important wildlife corridor of Kibale Forest and lasts for about 3 hours. The swamp, is a real bird watcher’s paradise.
Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 3: Transfer To Bwindi National Park
Rise up early for morning breakfast, check out and exit the park and set off for Bwindi impenetrable forest – the home of gorillas driving through Fort portal where you will have a stopover for lunch. Continue to Bwindi national park arriving late afternoon, check in in to the lodge for relaxation. Later dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Mountain Gorilla Trekking And Transfer To Mgahinga
Rise up early for morning breakfast with your parked lunch and drinking water, proceed to the park headquarters to join other trekkers for briefing on the dos and the don’ts of gorilla trekking. You are also advised carry drinking water and snacks in case the hiking takes much longer time depending on the location of the gorillas, after the briefing, you will be divided in to groups each comprising of 8 members led by an experienced ranger guide to help you locate the gorillas.
The trek usually lasts for about two to six hours depending on when and where they were last seen. You will be allowed one hour with the gorillas to interact with them, watch them play, feed young ones.
Return to the park headquarters then proceed to the lodge, exit the park and set off to Mgahinga gorilla national park. Arriving the lodge in the evening, check in and later dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Golden Monkey Trekking And Transfer To Lake Bunyonyi
Morning breakfast will be served thereafter, proceed to the park headquarters for briefing about the rules to be followed during golden monkey trekking. You will be led by experienced guide in to forest in search for the habituated golden monkey group. Trekking the golden monkeys is quite easier since the live in low land areas compared to the gorillas.
After you found them, you will be allowed one hour with them.
Return to the lodge for lunch and check out of the lodge and proceed to lake Bunyonyi one of the top tourist destinations for relaxation after along gorilla trekking. Upon arriving in the park in the evening, check in to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Morning Canoe Ride And Transfer To Kampala
Proceed with early morning boat on lake Bunyonyi to see the islands, lake Bunyonyi has got 29 islands each having different historical stories. The guide will explain some of them to you during the boat trip. Return to the lodge and check out and drive back to Kampala, then Entebbe, with lunch enroute stopover at Igongo cultural centre and another stop over at the equator for photoshoot.
Proceed to Kampala where the driver will drop you off at Entebbe airport for your departure flight home.
