5 Days Jinja and Murchison Falls Safari will take place in the eastern part of Uganda where you will visit Mabira forest and also engage in white water rafting on the Nile in Jinja. During the safari, you will also visit Murchison falls national park for a wildlife safari experience and enjoy game drives and the bottom of the falls boat cruise. You will also visit Zziwa rhino sanctuary for rhino tracking during the safari.

5 Days Jinja and Murchison Falls Safari Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up and drive to Jinja via Mabira forest

Your guide will pick you up from Entebbe airport or in Kampala and welcome you for the safari. You will be welcomed and start the journey Jinja with a stop in Mabira forest for a zip lining experience through the rainforest and a nature walk.

After the activities in Mabira forest, your guide will drive you to the hotel in Jinja where you will check in and have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: White water rafting

After breakfast at the hotel in Jinja, your guide will drive you to the starting point for the white water rafting on the river Nile. The whitewater rafting is carried out just below Kalagala falls and during the activity, you will see riverine forests and also learn about the river flow and currents and rapids. You will also drift to Itanda falls and after the activity, you will be driven to your hotel in Jinja where you will have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Drive to Murchison falls national park via Zziwa rhino sanctuary

You will start the day with breakfast at the hotel in Jinja and after checking out, your guide will drive you to Murchison falls national park. You will have a stop in Nakasongola district for a rhino tracking experience at Zziwa rhino sanctuary. The rhino tracking will start with a briefing and after briefing, your ranger guide will move with you on foot to search for the rhinos in the wild. After completing the rhino tracking experience, you will be driven to Masindi for lunch.

After lunch you will proceed to Murchison falls national park to check in at the and spend the evening relaxing as you prepare for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Game drive and bottom of the falls boat cruise

You will engage in an early morning game drive in Murchison falls national park to search for wildlife species like elephants, buffalos, giraffes, lions, leopards, warthogs, impalas, waterbucks, impalas and many others as you watch the beautiful sunset.

After your morning game drive in Murchison falls national park, you will return to the lodge for refreshments and lunch. After lunch at the lodge, you will engage in the bottom of the falls boat cruise which takes about 2 to 3 hours. During the boat cruise, you will see wildlife species around the water shores such as elephants, hippos, buffalos, crocodiles, giraffes as well as different bird species. You will also see the beautiful Murchison falls from your boat and later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Drive to Kampala

After having breakfast at the lodge, you will check out and proceed to the safari vehicle for your journey back to Kampala. Your guide will drop you off in Entebbe or Kampala which will bring your safari to an end.
