Detailed 10 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Airport for 10 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari –Transfer to Kampala

As soon as you arrive to the airport our company representative will come to pick you up and drive you for around 45 minutes after which you will arrive in Kampala and overnight and stay at Cassia Lodge / Papyrus Guest House(mid-range) or Forest Cottages(budget)

Day 2: Kampala – Visit the Top of the falls

After your breakfast, we drive through the famous Luwero triangle. Take a stopover at Masindi. We will continue through the park stopping at the top of the falls which is a fantastic sight. Here the Nile, the longest river in the world, is forced through a narrow gap in the rock (only 7 meters wide), before ferociously plunging down 43 meters. From here we will continue onto our accommodation place along the Nile River. Dinner and overnight at

Day 3: Murchison Falls Game drive – Boat cruise along the Mighty Nile           

Before going for an early morning gamedrive to the northern part of Murchison falls National Park led by your tour guide, take a cup of tea to warm up. This drive will reward you with  encounters  of game like, hyenas, leopards, jackals, lions, buffaloes, Uganda Kob, elephants, and many more savannah wild life species. Enjoy a 4-hour game drive around the Buligi game tracks, which stretch between the Victoria and Albert Niles, and down to the Nile-Lake Albert Delta.

Return for midmorning breakfast and lunch. After the game drive head out for the Boat cruise or launch cruise along the Victoria Nile. This boat trip is often cited as being the highlight of a trip to Murchison since it allows you to get up-close and personal with the animals.

Along this stretch of the river, the bird life is stunning with brightly colored kingfishers and bee-eaters darting along the riverbanks. If lucky, you may see the rare and prehistoric looking shoebill, which is a cross between the dodo and a dinosaur. The boat takes you to the base of the falls which only adds to their impressiveness.it will also provide an opening to view some of the water animals like the crocodiles, buffaloes, hippos and plenty of birds. Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park

Our safari guide will meet you at breakfast and transfer you to Kibale National Park. Then drive you to Fort Portal passing via Mityana-Mubende road. Have a stopover in Mubende and visit the Nakayima tree. Have lunch en route and continue to Kibale forest national park arriving in the afternoon. Check in and relax at the lodge. Dinner and Overnight at;

Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest

Following Breakfast, walk into the Forest, to view primates, however before you begin you will go to the park headquarters at Kanyanchu and be briefed by the park ranger. This activity begins early morning at 8.00 a.m. and spend half the day looking for chimpanzees as well as monkeys like grey cheeked Mangabey, Red-tailed monkeys, phoestes, Red-Colobuses plus Blue tailed monkeys, all jumping from one branch to another.

You will as well observe a profusion of birds and butterflies plus many tiny insects. The park ranger will detail you about information concerning these primates, and the different birds, animals and plant life here; this will make the walk very informative and enjoyable. Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP

Depart for Queen Elizabeth national park located in the foothills of the Mountains of the moon. Queen Elizabeth is Uganda’s second largest park, located at the base of the majestic Ruwenzori Mountain range, adjacent to Lake Edward and Lake George. The park has prolific game, including gazelle, Uganda kob, warthog and waterbuck. Lions are often sighted both in and at the entrance to the park. Be prepared for huge numbers of hippo and elephant, and keep your eyes peeled for a leopard lazing in the sunshine.

It is one of the great mountain ranges of the world. As you continue to the park you may see different animals and birds given that the park has got about 100 mammal species and a remarkable 606 bird species.

In the afternoon you will have a game drive in which you will see most of the wildlife in the park.

Day 7: Morning Game drive, afternoon boat cruise

You will go for an early morning a game drive in the Kasenyi sector, you may spot various animals like the elephants, Uganda kobs, leopards among others on this best Uganda safari. Return to the lodge for late breakfast and in the afternoon, you will go for a launch cruise on Kazinga Channel where you will spot various water animals like Hippos and crocodiles, the cruise will also enrich you with various water birds. Day 8: The Ishasha Sector transfer to Bwindi

After an early breakfast you will embark on the Journey to the gorilla trekking haven of Bwindi (Rushaga) 309km which is about 4-5 hours’ drive from Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will pass through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will have chances of spotting the tree climbing lions lying on tree branches in the midmorning sunshine. Proceed to Bwindi check in at your lodge for relaxation and overnight at;

Day 9: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Gorilla Park 

Be up with the early bird, taking a hot coffee with a snack and be at tourism office by 8:00 am for briefing by Ranger guides about general trekking experiences, getting porters to carry your extra luggage and start off your real exciting Mountain gorilla trekking safari. Ascend steep, rugged, mist covered, thick forested hills and get in the mix with thousands of other primates, birds, mammals, insects and different wildlife species sharing habitat with gorillas and walk in their foot prints.

The exciting feeling of challenging the impenetrable forests, meeting up with the gorillas and everything about the jungles is so captivating and your brief duration of life in the jungles will stretch your imagination. You will spend just one hour with gorillas within which you will have grasped almost everything about the gorillas. Get back to your hotel for a late lunch and departure from the jungles. Your safari driver will take you to Kabale and check in at a hotel on the shores of Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation, dinner, overnight stay and more fun on your Uganda tour.

Day 10 –  Bunyonyi cruise and Transfer to Kampala

Enjoy the serenity of the lake with cool breezes soothing your skin. Be alert for several attractive bird species on the lake and pay extra attention to guide’s moving stories.
