5 Day Uganda Martyrs Day Trip Detailed Itinerary.
DAY 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will meet your guide and transfer to your accommodation in Kampala. Check-in, freshen up, have dinner and rest in preparation for the following day activities. Main Destination: Entebbe International Airport. Day 2: Visit to Munyonyo
 After a morning breakfast, you’ll transfer to Munyonyo Martyrs Shrine. Munyonyo Martyrs Shrine is comprised of three places located in Munyonyo-Mulungu and Salaama-Kyamula of Kampala City where three of Uganda Martyrs Athanasius Bazzekuketta, Denis Ssebuggwawo and Andrea Kaggwa sacrificed their lives for the sake of Christ.
Churches and Chapels were built in their respective places of martyrdom. Other Uganda Martyrs were condemned for death in Munyonyo and led to their execution at Namugongo.
After a lunch break at Munyonyo, you will drive to Nalukolongo, a suburb of Kampala known for its Catholic mission and crafts center and a place where many Martyrs were baptized.
You will explore Nalukolongo and visit the Catholic Mission, where you can learn about the missionary work in the area. In the evening you will return to your hotel for an overnight stay and dinner to prepare for the following day activities.

DAY 3: Martyrs Day Celebrations.
This day begins with an early breakfast at your hotel, followed by a transfer to Namugongo, the site of the Uganda Martyrs Shrine.
While at Namugongo, you will attend the special Mass and commemoration ceremonies at the Uganda Martyrs Shrine, visit the various martyrs’ sites, including the Anglican shrine at Nakiyanja and the Catholic shrine at Buloli, explore the surrounding area and interact with the locals.

DAY 4: Visit the Bahai temple and Kasubi tombs
After a morning breakfast, you’ll transfer to Kikaaya hill where the Bahai temple is located. Here you’ll visit the beautiful Bahai temple the only one in Africa.
You’ll explore the historical significance of the temple, the serene gardens and its unique architectural designs. You will get the opportunity to attend study circles which will give you insights into the Bahai Faith, learn about the Bahai writings of Faith and viewing different bird species around the area.
After a lunch break, you will depart for Kasubi Nabulagala, a village near Kampala known for its historical significance in the spread of Christianity.
At Nabulagala, you will visit Kasubi tombs, a sacred site where the Kings of Buganda like Muteesa 1 who invited the missionaries to Uganda and Mwanga II who ordered the killing of Uganda martyrs were buried.

DAY 5: Transfer to Entebbe International Airport and Departure
After having a morning breakfast, you will check out of your hotel room and transfer to Entebbe International Airport for departure hence marking the end of the 5 Days Uganda Martyrs Celebration Tour. Main Destination: Entebbe International Airport

GENERAL INFORMATION ON A UGANDA SAFARI
ÂENTRY REQUIREMENTS: All visitors to Uganda must have a valid passport with at least 4 consecutive blanks pages. Any applicable visa and/or relevant documentation are the responsibility of the traveller. For further information on Visa requirements visitors are advised to contact their nearest Uganda Embassy or Consulate.ÂLANGUAGE:EnglishÂTIME: GMT +3ÂVOLTAGE: 220 Volts/AC50Hz. Sockets are UK style, 3 pin square plugs. Power is from the government in the city/major towns and generator with inverter back up in the Safari Lodges and Camps.ÂCURRENCY: Foreign currency must be changed at the Bank, Bureau de Change, and Hotel/Safari lodge/Camp/Resort.  Major Credit Cards, Master card, Visa, American Express, are usually accepted throughout the country. Where credit cards are accepted, the payment will normally be recorded in US$ regardless of the card’s default currency.ÂCLOTHING: Dress is mainly informal and should be comfortable as well as practical. Something warm should be brought along for early morning and evenings. Safari clothes are available from hotels/lodges/camps.ÂBAGGAGE: Where possible, travel light. Baggage space on safari is limited to medium suitcase or soft bag per person plus reasonable amount of hand luggage. There is 15 Kilogram per person limit on all flights to the wildlife sanctuaries. Excess luggage must be stored in your arrival hotel.ÂWATER: You will find many different of opinion of what is safe and what is not. We recommend for peace of mind, to drink local Bottled Mineral water. It is important to drink plenty of water especially during the hotter months. We would recommend that guests drink at least 2 to 3 liters of water per day to limit the effects of dehydration.ÂHEALTH; East Africa is a safe and secure destination; however, it is a good idea to take a few precautions. Kindly consult your GP or local doctor at least 6 weeks before you travel, with regards: Malaria prophylactics.ÂEast Africa is a known malaria area and preventive measures are essential. You are advised to take one of the recommended anti-malarial drugs.ÂBe sure to wear long sleeved shorts and trousers after sunset and spray the exposed parts of your body with a mosquito repellent spray Remember to protect yourself from direct sun rays with sunscreen cream or safari hat.ÂDIETARY REQUIREMENTS: For those guests with specific dietary requirement, please ensure we are notified prior to travelÂGRATUITIES: As a guideline and dependent on how happy you are, we would suggest the following: The General Hotel/Lodge/Camp Staff – Approximately U$ 10.00 per person per day Driver Guides – Approximately US$ 15.00 to US$ 20.00 per person per day.ÂPHOTOGRAPHY: Please be careful when photographing public buildings, airports, bridges, the national flag and people in uniform. Ensure that you have sought permission before photographing local people and their villages. If in doubt, please check with your guide.-
