6 Days Madagascar Honeymoon Adventure Overview
On arrival at Ivato International Airport, you’ll be greeted by an English-speaking guide who will drive you to Maison Gallieni, your hotel for one night. It is a restored colonial mansion with an elegant mix of modern and traditional décor. Built in 1879 on the site of a granite quarry, Maison Gallieni used to house the first bank created in Madagascar. Located on a hill, in the historic heart of the Malagasy capital, it offers a spectacular view overlooking the town. This afternoon, you can relax in the hotel, at the pool, or head out to explore the colourful city of Antananarivo, known locally as ‘Tana’.

Your duplex rosewood villa will feature a private deck overlooking the ocean, and you’ll be surrounded by a magical forest filled with lemurs, chameleons and hummingbirds.
This evening, you’ll venture out on an exciting night walk to see the forest’s nocturnal creatures, including the playful Coquerel’s siafakas and the tiny Danfoss’s mouse lemurs. Listen out for the strange squeal of the Grewcock’s sportive lemur, and keep watch for the Commerson’s leaf-nosed bat, the endemic Tsingy tufted-tailed rat, and the elusive fossa, Madagascar’s largest predator.

The sifakas and other species of lemur, such as the common brown lemur, roam freely around the lodge gardens and the reserve.
You’ll return to the lodge for a romantic lunch served in the Oasis, a wet biotope filled with plants to represent the spectacular floral diversity of Madagascar.
