8 Days Seychelle Island

Day 1: Mahe Eden Island Seychelles

On arrival in Seychelles (Mahe International Airport), our representative will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel at Eden Island. The luxury hotel has all the amenities a discerning guest will expect (including wi-fi). Eden Island is a lovely place with a modern marina and shopping mall. Depending on your arrival time, you will have time to relax, freshen up and explore your surroundings. In the evening, you’ll have some dinner options. You can have dinner at the hotel or one of the nearby restaurants (Bravo, Boardwalk, Tamassa etc.) Your overnight stay will be in your luxury accommodation.

Day 2: Starfish Marine Excursion

This morning, you can enjoy a full-course breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, you will transfer to the Marine Charter for a full day Marine excursion on a catamaran. During this excursion, you will have the opportunity to enjoy snorkelling at the coral reefs. You can take your own mask and flippers or the charter company will provide these items for you. After snorkelling, the boat will anchor off a small island called Moyenne Island.

You will transfer on a rubber duck to the island for a buffet lunch at Jolly Rogers beach restaurant. You will enjoy a short tour of the area before lunch. After your hearty lunch, get back to the charter boat and return to Mahe. In the late afternoon after docking at the harbour, you will transfer back to your hotel at Eden Island. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. In the evening, you will have some dinner options. (Own account) Your overnight stay will be in your luxury accommodation.

Day 3: Mahe to Praslin

This morning you can enjoy a nice breakfast at the hotel (included). After breakfast, checkout and transfer to inter-island Quay at the harbour. You will transfer on Cat Cocos Ferry to Praslin. This is a commercial ferry so there will be some queuing and waiting to board the ferry. On most days, there is a 10.30 am ferry departure but on Wednesdays, there is only a 4.30 pm departure.

If needed, we will adjust your itinerary as required to fit the ferry departure times. For those who prefer to fly inter-island, we can arrange it at an additional cost. The ferry transfer is about an hour. After arrival in Praslin, your driver will meet you at the jetty and transfer you to your luxury hotel in Praslin. (Note the ‘s’ in Praslin is silent and the name is pronounced as Pralin). Check in at the hotel and spend the rest of the day relaxing or exploring your surroundings.

Day 4: Praslin – La Digue – Praslin

Enjoy a full course breakfast before transferring to Vallee de Mai Nature Reserve for a guided tour. Here there are countless coconut trees including the legendary Coco-de-mer. The reserve is also the last habitat of the endangered black parrot. At around 10.45 am you will transfer to the Baie Ste Anne Jetty for a ferry transfer to La Digue island. The ferry transfer is approximately 20 minutes. Once in La Digue you will collect your bicycles for a self-discovery ride around the island.

You can visit the L’Union Estate where you will find giant tortoises, landscaped gardens, granite boulders and famous Anse Source d’ Argent beach. At around 3.45 pm, you will need to return your bicycles and prepare for boarding the return ferry to Praslin. The ferry departs around 4.30 pm. After arrival in Praslin you will transfer to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Dinner at hotel is included.

Day 5: Explore Praslin

In the morning, enjoy a hearty breakfast at the hotel. You will have the rest of the day to spend as you please. We can assist with booking optional activities. (own cost). Day 6: Praslin to Mahe

After breakfast, you will have some free time before transferring to the jetty for the ferry transfer back to Mahe. Ferry times vary so we will advise exact times once the dates are known. After arrival at the port in Mahe, you will transfer to your hotel in Eden Island. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. In the evening, you will have dinner options (own account).

Day 7: Explore Mahe Island

GENERAL INFORMATION ON A MOZAMBIQUE SAFARI
 
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: All visitors to Mozambique must have a valid passport with at least 4 consecutive blanks pages.  Any applicable visa and/or relevant documentation are the responsibility of the traveller.  For further information on Visa requirements visitors are advised to contact their nearest Mozambique Embassy or Consulate.

VOLTAGE: 220 Volts/AC50Hz. Sockets are UK style, 3 pin square plugs. Power is from the government in the city/major towns and generator with inverter back up in the Safari Lodges and Camps.
 
CURRENCY: Foreign currency must be changed at the Bank, Bureau de Change, and Hotel/Safari lodge/Camp/Resort.   Major Credit Cards, Master card, Visa, American Express, are usually accepted throughout the country.  Where credit cards are accepted, the payment will normally be recorded in US$ regardless of the card’s default currency.
 
CLOTHING: Dress is mainly informal and should be comfortable as well as practical. Something warm should be brought along for early morning and evenings. Safari clothes are available from hotels/lodges/camps.
 
BAGGAGE: Where possible, travel light. Baggage space on safari is limited to medium suitcase or soft bag per person plus reasonable amount of hand luggage. There is 15 Kilogram per person limit on all flights to the wildlife sanctuaries. Excess luggage must be stored in your arrival hotel.
 
WATER: You will find many different of opinion of what is safe and what is not. We recommend for peace of mind, to drink local Bottled Mineral water. It is important to drink plenty of water especially during the hotter months. We would recommend that guests drink at least 2 to 3 liters of water per day to limit the effects of dehydration.
 
HEALTH; East Africa is a safe and secure destination; however, it is a good idea to take a few precautions.  Kindly consult your GP or local doctor at least 6 weeks before you travel, with regards: Malaria prophylactics. East Africa is a known malaria area and preventive measures are essential. You are advised to take one of the recommended anti-malarial drugs.  Be sure to wear long sleeved shorts and trousers after sunset and spray the exposed parts of your body with a mosquito repellent spray Remember to protect yourself from direct sun rays with sunscreen cream or safari hat.
 
DIETARY REQUIREMENTS: For those guests with specific dietary requirement, please ensure we are notified prior to travel
 
GRATUITIES: As a guideline and dependent on how happy you are, we would suggest the following: The General Hotel/Lodge/Camp Staff – Approximately U$ 10.00 per person per day Driver Guides – Approximately US$ 15.00 to US$ 20.00 per person per day.
 
PHOTOGRAPHY: Please be careful when photographing public buildings, airports, bridges, the national flag and people in uniform.  Ensure that you have sought permission before photographing local people and their villages.  If in doubt, please check with your guide.
