Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at NBO and Drive to Best Western Plus Meridian Hotel
On arrival in Nairobi, Kenya, you’ll be met and welcomed by your safari guide and transferred to Best Western Plus Meridian Hotel for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Transfer to Masai Mara Wildlife Reserve.
After breakfast, you’ll travel to the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve, arriving in time for an afternoon game drive. Known for its abundant wildlife and rolling plains, the Mara offers prime sightings of the Big Five and is especially dramatic during the Great Migration season.
Day 3: Full Day Game Drives in Masai Mara
After breakfast, this day will be dedicated to full-day game drives in the Masai Mara. Explore its rich ecosystems, witness predator-prey interactions, and if you’re lucky, catch the migration river crossings.
Day 4: Transfer to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you’ll depart Kenya, crossing into Tanzania via the Isebania border, and continue your journey to the Serengeti National Park, arriving in the northern or central region depending on the migration route. Enjoy a relaxed evening at your lodge or camp.
Days 5 – 7: Serengeti National Park
These two days will be immersed in the endless plains of the Serengeti. With early morning and afternoon game drives, track lions, elephants, cheetahs, leopards, and massive herds of wildebeest and zebra. The Serengeti’s vastness and biodiversity make every moment extraordinary, whether you’re near the riverbanks or in open savannah.
Day 8: Transfer to Ngorongoro National Conservation Area
After breakfast, you’ll leave the Serengeti and head toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with a game drive en route. Arrive at your lodge perched on the crater rim, offering panoramic views of the ancient caldera. This is a highlight of the trip. You will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half- or full-day game drive in this UNESCO World Heritage Site. The crater’s enclosed ecosystem is rich with wildlife, including black rhinos, large lion prides, flamingos, and hippos.
Day 9: Transfer to Arusha
After breakfast, you will begin your journey to Arusha, enjoying the scenic drive through Tanzania’s highlands. Once in Arusha, you’ll have time to relax or shop for souvenirs.
Day 10: Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport and Departure
After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport for your departure flight, concluding your epic East African safari adventure.
