Book a Safari to SupportOur Commitment to Community
At Nextgen Safaris, we believe that responsible tourism is more than ticking off wildlife sightings, it is about making a meaningful difference. As a leading gorilla trekking and wildlife safari company in East and Southern Africa, our mission extends far beyond travel. We are deeply committed to creating long-term value for the communities that make these journeys possible.
One of our proudest initiatives is our partnership with Good Hope Junior School, a grassroots community school in Mitondo, Kalisizo Subcounty, Kyotera District, Uganda. This school provides a learning environment, daily meals, and quality primary education to over 150 underprivileged children, many of whom would otherwise have limited access to formal schooling.
By choosing to travel with us, you are directly supporting a model of community-based travel that values people as much as places. Every safari we organize contributes to a broader vision of sustainable safari impact where tourism empowers rather than exploits.
As an ethical safari operator, we don’t just visit communities, we invest in them. We are proud to lead by example, integrating education, conservation, and empowerment into everything we do.

About Good Hope Junior School
At Good Hope Junior School, we believe that every child no matter their background deserves the chance to learn, grow and thrive.
Founded with the vision of equal access to education, our school now supports over 150 children many of whom come from vulnerable or disadvantaged households. We integrate these children into a structured, inclusive learning environment where they can study, play and dream alongside their peers.
We don’t just teach subjects, we nurture futures. Our approach goes beyond classrooms: we create a caring space where children are protected, valued and supported emotionally and intellectually. With trained teachers, daily meals, school supplies and a strong sense of community, we help each child build the confidence and skills to break the cycle of poverty.
To support our work sustainably, we have invested in small-scale farming projects. These include banana gardens, piggery, and other produce like passion fruit, avocado and papaya. These school-run farms not only supplement meals but also provide a source of income to keep the school running and ensure long-term impact.
At Good Hope, we are planting the seeds of hope, resilience and opportunity.
