5 Days Kibale and Semuliki Safari will start in Entebbe and then continue to Kibale national park with a stop in Fort Portal town for a short tour. You will also take part in chimpanzee trekking and the bigodi tour in Kibale national park and also visit Semuliki national park for a tour of the hot springs and a nature walk.

Detailed 5 Days Kibale and Semuliki Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up and drive to Entebbe

Your guide will pick you up from the airport on arrival and welcome you for your safari. After a short briefing and loading the luggage in the safari vehicle, you will be driven to the hotel for check in.

Depending on your time of arrival at Entebbe you will relax at the hotel or visit Entebbe town.

Day 2: Drive to Kibale national park via Fort Portal town

After breakfast at the hotel in Entebbe, your guide will pick you up and you will start your journey to Kibale national park with a stop in Fort Portal town for lunch and you will explore the town, visit the Tooro palace and later go to the lodge where you will have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Chimpanzee trek and bigodi tour

You will have early breakfast at the lodge and proceed to the Kanyanchu headquarters for a briefing on chimpanzee trekking in Kibale national park. After the briefing, you will be allocated ranger guides who will trek with you into Kibale forest in groups of 8 people. During chimpanzee trekking in Kibale forest, you will get to learn about the different tree species, see other primates like black and white colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys and also butterflies. Kibale national park is also home to numerous bird species. You will spend 1 hour with the chimpanzees in Kibale forest and return to the park headquarters to receive your certificates for completing the chimpanzee trek.

You will also visit the Bigodi wetlands where many bird species can be seen in Kibale national park as you also enjoy a nature walk, feel the natural surroundings around you and see more primates in the trees. After this tour, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Visit Semuliki hot springs and nature walk

You will have breakfast at the hotel in Kibale national park after which your guide will drive you to Semuliki national park to visit the Sempaya hot springs. These hot springs are male and female hot springs and during the tour to the hot springs, you will learn a lot about them, boil eggs in the hot springs, engage in a nature walk and also see primates such as vervet monkeys and colobus monkeys and also see various bird species.

You will also enjoy a board walk to the hot springs and hear folk stories of how the Sempaya hot springs were formed. After this tour, your guide will drive you to the hotel for a relaxing evening as you prepare for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Departure

After having breakfast at the hotel, your guide will drive you back to Kampala with a stop for lunch along the way. You will enjoy the beautiful scenic hills and driving through the tea plantations and your guide will drop you off at the airport which will bring the tour to an end.
