5 Days Murchison Falls Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
During your transfer to the national park, you will have multiple stopovers for convenience, refreshments at selected eateries as well stopovers for our driver-guide to highlight interesting features along the way.
At Murchison, you will check in to your pre-booked accommodation at Pakuba Safari Lodge or any other of similar standards. Our driver-guide will then brief you on the next day’s program as you settle in for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Game Drive and boat cruise
You will rise to an early morning breakfast at 6:00am to get you energized for the day. After breakfast, our driver-guide will take you on a game drive to view and learn about the incredible wildlife in the national park. During the game drive, you will have a chance to sight hippos, warthogs, giraffes, lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes and many more.
Boat cruise to the bottom of the falls: Imagine an elephant splashing water with its trunk by the riverside as its baby trumpets in joy! That, and more fun is what you sign up for when you go out for the boat cruise. The boat will take you to the bottom of the falls where you will have stunning views of the might River Nile gushing through a 7meters gorge and falling 43meters below towards you.
Our driver-guide will then transfer you from the jetty back to your lodge and once again run you through the next day’s program as you settle in for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking and night game drive
After an early morning breakfast (or cup of coffee and packed breakfast), you will be transferred to the southern sector of the park to engage in a trek through Budongo tropical rainforest to track chimpanzees. During the trek, you will learn about the behaviors, families, routines of these highly intelligent creatures. And after an hour with the chimpanzees, you will be guided back to the briefing station where our driver-guide will be waiting to transfer you back to your lodge for lunch and thereafter have the rest of the evening to rest and relax.
You will be served an early dinner at 6:00pm as you prepare to embark on a night game drive and witness the nocturnal animals spring to life in the quiet and cover of the dark. In the company of a ranger-guide and our driver-guide, you will start the night drive at 7:00pm and navigate the park in search of the nocturnal wildlife especially the predators such as lions, leopards and hyenas among others.

Day 4: Visit top of the falls and sundowner
On this day you will meet your guide after a convenient breakfast by 9:00am and drive to the top of Murchison Falls and engage in short walk that will take you within meters of the world’s most powerful falls. You will experience a splendid view like no other coloured by a daily rainbow. After this thrilling experience, you will return to your lodge for lunch and use the rest of the afternoon to rest and relax or swim.
Evening Sundowner: As you start to conclude your tour, you will have a moment to experience a light meal/refreshment in the national park with sensational views of the setting sun and in the company of a ranger-guide amidst the wildlife. This sundowner experience will allow to truly relish in the African wilderness and a moment to comprehend the spiraling sensations of what will have been an incredible 4 days.
Dinner: At dusk you will return to your lodge for dinner and settle in for your overnight stay.

Day 5: Transfer to Entebbe International Airport
You will meet our driver-guide after a convenient breakfast and embark on a return journey to Entebbe International Airport. Along the way, you may have multiple stopovers for convenience, refreshments or to buy souvenirs/crafts for memories. Your arrival at the airport will conclude your tour with us.

GENERAL INFORMATION
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
All visitors to Uganda must have a valid passport with at least 4 consecutive blanks pages. Any applicable visa and/or relevant documentation are the responsibility of the traveller. For further information on Visa requirements visitors are advised to contact their nearest Uganda Embassy or Consulate.

220 Volts/AC50Hz. Sockets are UK style, 3 pin square plugs. Power is from the UMEME in the city/major towns and generator with inverter back up in the Safari Lodges and Camps.
CURRENCY:
Foreign currency must be changed at the Bank, Bureau de Change, and Hotel/Safari lodge/Camp/Resort. Major Credit Cards, Master card, Visa, American Express, are usually accepted throughout the country. Where credit cards are accepted, the payment will normally be recorded in US$ regardless of the card’s default currency.
CLOTHING:
Dress is mainly informal and should be comfortable as well as practical. Something warm should be brought along for early morning and evenings. Safari clothes are available from hotels/lodges/camps.
BAGGAGE:
Where possible, travel light. Baggage space on safari is limited to medium suitcase or soft bag per person plus reasonable amount of hand luggage. There is 15 Kilogram per person limit on all flights to the wildlife sanctuaries. Excess luggage must be stored in your arrival hotel.
WATER:
You will find many different of opinion of what is safe and what is not. We recommend for peace of mind, to drink local Bottled Mineral water. It is important to drink plenty of water especially during the hotter months. We would recommend that guests drink at least 2 to 3 liters of water per day to limit the effects of dehydration.
HEALTH;
East Africa is a safe and secure destination; however, it is a good idea to take a few precautions. Kindly consult your GP or local doctor at least 6 weeks before you travel, with regards:
Malaria prophylactics. East Africa is a known malaria area and preventive measures are essential. You are advised to take one of the recommended anti-malarial drugs. Be sure to wear long sleeved shorts and trousers after sunset and spray the exposed parts of your body with a mosquito repellent spray
Remember to protect yourself from direct sun rays with sunscreen cream or safari hat.

As a guideline and dependent on how happy you are, we would suggest the following:
The General Hotel/Lodge/Camp Staff – Approximately U$ 10.00 per person per day
Driver Guides – Approximately US$ 15.00 to US$ 20.00 per person per day

Please be careful when photographing public buildings, airports, bridges, the national flag and people in uniform. Ensure that you have sought permission before photographing local people and their villages. If in doubt, please check with your guide.
