Day 1: Harare International Airport transfer to the Monomotapa hotel
On arrival at the Harare International Airport, you will be met by a Zambezi Expedition Travel and Tours Representative and proceed through Zimbabwe’s Capital City. Day 2: Harare to Nyanga (The Eastern Highlands)
After an early breakfast we leave Harare and head through diverse scenery of farm lands, rocky outcrops and into the magnificent mountainous area of the Eastern highlands, also known as “The little England” of Zimbabwe. On arrival at the hotel, you will be able to take in beautiful calm views and serene settings. Day 3: Trout-Beck Inn Resort Nyanga
The day is yours to explore or relax. Enjoy the hotel, stroll down to the dam to watch the rainbow trout diving through the waters, a full day Nyanga National Park tour (for own account) which experiences a village from the stone ages known as Pit Huts, or a visit to a Rainbow Trout hatchery set in the natural pools of the sparkling river. Day 4: Nyanga to Great Zimbabwe Masvingo
This morning after breakfast, we depart for Masvingo, The Ancient City, where we will be inspired by the Ruins of Great Zimbabwe built in 1200AD. The Ruined City of Great Zimbabwe is the largest and most significant ancient monument south of the Sahara and only second to the Egyptian pyramids. Here your guide will take you through the Acropolis, the Great Enclosure and the Conical Tower. Meal Plan: (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)
Day 5: Great Zimbabwe Ruins
After breakfast we depart Matobo Hills and we pass through the second largest city in Zimbabwe with wide tree lined streets and is surrounded by beautiful parks. Within the city are many examples of early Victorian buildings which are maintained by the Bulawayo City council and landlords as heritage sites. We will proceed to Matobo Meal Plan: (Breakfast lunch & Dinner)
Day 6: Matobo National Park
A full day will be spent exploring the area and some highlights include cave paintings, panoramas of the countryside at “View of the World”. We hope to catch a glimpse of black rhino and plains game, but this area is famous for its dense concentrations of birds of prey. Meal Plan: (Breakfast Lunch Dinner).
Day 7: Matobo to Hwange National Park
After breakfast we depart for Hwange National Park. This is one of Africa’s finest havens for wildlife and is home to the herds of presidential elephants. It is also home to many predators and endangered species and varied bird life. We transfer onto an open vehicle and proceed on a game drive transfer to our lodge. On arrival we will enjoy lunch overlooking the beautiful plains, we will proceed on an afternoon game drive. After sun downers a dinner will be enjoyed to the sounds of the night. Day 8: Hwange National Park
Dawn breaks with a morning game drive through the vast plains to experience the drama of the previous night. We hope to view more of the many species that live in the national park whilst exploring the magnificent landscape. We will return to the lodge for an afternoon siesta and later proceed on an evening game drive to view the nocturnal inhabitants of the Hwange National Park. Meal Plan: (Breakfast Lunch and Dinner).
Day 9: Hwange to Victoria Falls
An early rise accompanied by tea & coffee before we enjoy our transfer down to Victoria falls. Our first stop is at the Painted Dog Conservation center in Hwange, here we will learn more about Wild Dogs and the Center’s efforts to protect these beautiful animals from extinction. After this, we head for the town of Victoria Falls. Your afternoon can be spent at leisure, or you can book one of many activities available. On arrival in Victoria Falls we do our check in and do afternoon sunset cruise. Meal Plan: (Breakfast & Dinner).
Day 10: Victoria Falls
After breakfast you will enjoy a tour of the Victoria Falls. You will stop at various vantage points to view the falls and walk through the rain forest whilst witnessing the rainbows and feeling the spray and thundering noise of water falling into the gorge. The rest of your afternoon will be spent at leisure, where you can book one of many activities with your guide. Optional activities are: rafting, elephant riding, helicopter over the falls, lion walk experience, canoeing afternoon and night game drives, jet board, adrenaline e.g., High wire, bungee jumping, bridge slide and gorge swing. Day 11: Victoria Falls to Victoria Falls Airport
Enjoy breakfast before checking out and being transferred to the Victoria Falls airport. Meal Plan: (Breakfast).

GENERAL INFORMATION
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
All visitors on this 11 Days Victoria falls Zimbabwe must have a valid passport with at least 4 consecutive blanks pages. The Government of Tanzania has rolled out an online Visa application portal accessible on internet. Any applicable visa and/or relevant documentation are the responsibility of the traveler. For further information on Visa requirements visitors are advised to contact their nearest Zimbabwe Embassy or Consulate.

CLIMATE: Southern Africa climate is predominantly tropical. The long rains are from mid-March to late May and the short rains from November to January. The hottest months are from October to February and the coolest months are June to August.
VOLTAGE: 220 Volts/AC50Hz. Sockets are UK style, 3 pin square plugs. Power is from the National Grid in the city/major towns and generator with inverter back up in the Safari Lodges and Camps.
CURRENCY: Foreign currency must be changed at the Bank, Bureau de Change, and Hotel/Safari lodge/Camp/Resort. Major Credit Cards, Master card, Visa, American Express, are usually accepted throughout the country. Where credit cards are accepted, the payment will normally be recorded in US$ regardless of the card’s default currency. However, US$ older than 2009 are only accepted
CLOTHING: Dress is mainly informal and should be comfortable as well as practical. Something warm should be brought along for early morning and evenings. Safari clothes are available from hotels/lodges/camps.
BAGGAGE: Where possible, travel light. Baggage space on safari is limited to medium suitcase or soft bag per person plus reasonable amount of hand luggage. There is 15 Kilogram per person limit on all flights to the wildlife sanctuaries. Excess luggage must be stored in your arrival hotel.
WATER: You will find many different of opinion of what is safe and what is not. We recommend for peace of mind, to drink local Bottled Mineral water. It is important to drink plenty of water especially during the hotter months. We would recommend that guests drink at least 2 to 3 litres of water per day to limit the effects of dehydration.
HEALTH: Southern Africa is a safe and secure destination; however, it is a good idea to take a few precautions. Kindly consult your GP or local doctor at least 6 weeks before you travel, with regards:
Malaria prophylactics. East Africa is a known malaria area and preventive measures are essential. You are advised to take one of the recommended anti-malarial drugs. Be sure to wear long sleeved shorts and trousers after sunset and spray the exposed parts of your body with a mosquito repellent spray. The hotels provide mosquito repellent sachets as part of the room’s amenities in all our locations.
Remember to protect yourself from direct sun rays with sunscreen cream or safari hat.
DIETARY REQUIREMENTS: For those guests with specific dietary requirement, please ensure Imbasa is notified prior to travel so that the respective Hotels and Lodges are informed
