This 6 Days Zambia and Botswana Safari starts off with some cultural interactions, proceeding to the Zambezi River, and finally, visiting the spectacular Victoria Falls in Livingstone. The Chobe National Park is one of the top safari destinations in Africa, with one of the largest concentrations of wildlife on the continent spread across a vast area of nearly 12,000 square kilometres. 6 Days Zambia and Botswana Safari

Day 1: Arrival Zambia | Travel To Livingstone | Visit Mukwalantila Village

In the morning, a Kubwa Five Safaris representative will pick you up from the Livingstone International Airport or Livingstone town. You will be transferred to Mukwalantila village for some cultural interaction. This tour is meant to showcase the lifestyle of the Tonga people of the Southern province who may be found ploughing, harvesting, or gardening, depending on the season.

Day 2: Microlight Over Victoria Falls | Guided Tour Victoria Falls | Rhino Walk | Game Drive Mosi Oa Tunya

After breakfast at around 7am, you will be picked up for a microlight flight over the Victoria Falls (20-minute drive one-way) for an aerial view of the Victoria Falls. After the scenic flight at around 9 am, you will go for a tour of Victoria Falls on the Zambian side. The tour guide will give you all the necessary information on the Victoria Falls, and Zambezi River as well as the flora and fauna of the area.

In the afternoon after lunch, you will head out for a game drive and a rhino walk in the Mosi Oa Tunya National Park which is located in Livingstone. It is home to various wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, hippos, antelopes, Cape buffalos, and many others. We will then have a rhino walk which allows us to get closer to the white rhinos found in the park.

Day 3: Water Rafting | Sunset Cruise On Zambezi River

After breakfast, you will go water rafting. Test your courage by taking on the magnificent rapids of the Zambezi River. You will go from rapid 1 to rapid 22 with some rapids rated grade V. After a long day navigating the Zambezi rapids, we will take time to relax on a sunset cruise on the Upper Zambezi with some drinks and snacks.

Enjoy the beautiful picture that nature will paint as the sun sets.

Day 4: Swimming In Devils Pool | Final Day In Zambia | Travel To Chobe National Park

After breakfast, you will go for swimming in Devil’s Pool. After having seen the Victoria Falls from an aerial view and also seeing it head-on, it would only be right to become part of the Victoria Falls by swimming in Devil’s Pool. The pool is formed on a natural pool right on the edge of the falls, allowing you to live life on the edge. After your swim, you will be transferred to Botswana to spend 2 nights in Chobe National Park.

Day 5: Full Day Game Drive In Chobe National Park

You will have a full-day game drive in Chobe National Park, Botswana’s first national park. The park is one of the top safari destinations in Africa, with one of the largest concentrations of wildlife on the continent, spread across a vast area of nearly 12,000 square kilometers.

Chobe National Park is famed for its elephants, its diverse habitats, its varied array of animals and birds, and its beautiful river which allows for amazing game viewing.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS TOUR:

220 Volts/AC50Hz. Sockets are UK style, 3 pin square plugs. Power is from the government in the city/major towns and generator with inverter back up in the Safari Lodges and Camps.
CURRENCY: Foreign currency must be changed at the Bank, Bureau de Change, and Hotel/Safari lodge/Camp/Resort.   Major Credit Cards, Master card, Visa, American Express, are usually accepted throughout the country.  Where credit cards are accepted, the payment will normally be recorded in US$ regardless of the card’s default currency.
CLOTHING:
Dress is mainly informal and should be comfortable as well as practical. Something warm should be brought along for early morning and evenings. Safari clothes are available from hotels/lodges/camps.
BAGGAGE:

Where possible, travel light. Baggage space on safari is limited to medium suitcase or soft bag per person plus reasonable amount of hand luggage. There is 15 Kilogram per person limit on all flights to the wildlife sanctuaries. Excess luggage must be stored in your arrival hotel.

WATER:

You will find many different of opinion of what is safe and what is not. We recommend for peace of mind, to drink local Bottled Mineral water. It is important to drink plenty of water especially during the hotter months. We would recommend that guests drink at least 2 to 3 liters of water per day to limit the effects of dehydration.

HEALTH;
East Africa is a safe and secure destination; however, it is a good idea to take a few precautions.  Kindly consult your GP or local doctor at least 6 weeks before you travel, with regards: Malaria prophylactics. East Africa is a known malaria area and preventive measures are essential. You are advised to take one of the recommended anti-malarial drugs.  Be sure to wear long sleeved shorts and trousers after sunset and spray the exposed parts of your body with a mosquito repellent spray Remember to protect yourself from direct sun rays with sunscreen cream or safari hat.
